Kerala is God’s own land, a land of great natural beauty untouched and unparalleled. Don’t miss the striking port city of Kochi or Cochin is a tourist’s bliss. Lush mangroves, prehistoric churches, coconut tress reflected in the transparent waters of backwaters, place of worship and fort  tourists on exploring tours of Cochin would find all these and more. Indulge yourself in the systematic hills around Munnar, South India‘s largest tea-growing area, are carpeted in contoured, emerald-green tea plantations, clipped and sculpted like ornamental hedges. The low chain scenery is splendid – you’re often up above the clouds watching masks of mist clinging to the mountaintops. Thekkady in Kerala is known for the Periyar National Park, one of the major wildlife reserves in India. Located on the banks of a lake created by the creation of Mullaperiyar dam, the park lies in the regions of Idukki and Pathanamthitta in Kerala. Don’t miss the houseboat in Alleppey. It is the hub of Kerala‘s backwaters, home to a vast network of waterways and more than a thousand houseboats. Alleppey is one of the most graceful and greenery-fringed, disappearing into a watery world of villages, toddy shops, punted canoes and, of course, houseboats. Float along and gaze over paddy fields of luscious green, shapely rice barges and township life along the banks. This is one of Kerala’s most enchantingly beautiful and calming experiences.
